About Georgia Tech Hydrogen Day 2026

The inaugural Georgia Tech Hydrogen Day convenes senior leaders from industry, government, academia and the Southeast hydrogen ecosystem for two days of events focused on accelerating the commercial adoption of hydrogen.

The program begins Oct. 7 with a networking reception sponsored by the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance at Georgia Tech's Marcus Nanotechnology Building, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and technology leaders for collaboration and discussion ahead of the following day's forum.

On Oct. 8, Georgia Tech and the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance will host the Southeast Hydrogen Roadmapping Forum, exploring the technical, economic, infrastructure, and market challenges affecting hydrogen deployment across transportation, ports, rail, and heavy industry. Industry leaders will identify critical gaps, investment priorities, demonstration opportunities, and collaborative actions needed to advance and strengthen the regional hydrogen economy.

The program also features a Georgia Tech Hydrogen Day leadership Session featuring executives from Georgia Tech, The Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association, The Center for Transportation and the Environment, Plug Power, and other leading organizations. The discussion will examine hydrogen’s role in advancing industrial competitiveness, energy security, operational efficiency, emissions reduction, and economic development across Georgia and the Southeast.

Additional highlights include a Hydrogen Vehicle Showcase and a North Avenue Research Area Laboratory Tour and Research Showcase, providing attendees with firsthand exposure to emerging hydrogen technologies and innovation taking place at Georgia Tech.
